About Region 5

Western CT Coalition and its partners are working toward a goal of raising awareness of Problem and Disordered Gambling, breaking down stigma surrounding this addiction, and helping those seek treatment and recovery. As the Regional Behavioral Health Action Organization we engage with many volunteers working toward prevention of substance misuse, suicide, and disordered gambling. Our overall mission is to promote the behavioral health continuum of care and to enhance quality of life at every stage. The Problem Gambling Awareness Team is an extension of this work where alongside PGS, CCPG, MCCA, Naugatuck Youth Services, and many others we are educating our communities on this important topic and extending a hand to anyone who needs help.

Communities include: Barkhamsted, Beacon Falls, Bethel, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Canaan, Cheshire, Colebrook, Cornwall, Danbury, Goshen, Hartland, Harwinton, Kent, Litchfield, Middlebury, Morris, Naugatuck, New Fairfield, New Hartford, New Milford, Newtown, Norfolk, North Canaan, Oxford, Prospect, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Salisbury, Sharon, Sherman, Southbury, Thomaston, Torrington, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown, Winchester, Winsted, Wolcott, and Woodbury.
