Kristin French recently relocated to Connecticut from Massachusetts and has joined Catalyst CT | The Hub as a Program Coordinator for the Region One Gambling Awareness Team (GAT). The GAT consists of community stakeholders working toward raising awareness and developing prevention and treatment capacity in the region. GAT hosts gambling awareness trainings and webinars and meets quarterly to review gambling trends, needs, gaps, and access to treatment.
Kristin is a Licensed Master Social Worker with macro-focus with more than 16 years of prevention experience supporting youth and family wellbeing in youth-serving organizations and community-based settings. Her professional career includes serving as the Assistant Director of Field Services at SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), as a Community Organizer at Wayside Youth & Family Support Network and as a communications consultant for Cambridge Health Alliance/Everett Youth Coalition. She served as the Director of Ashland’s Decisions at Every Turn Coalition, overseeing the Drug Free Communities (DFC) Support Program and the Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking (STOP Act) grants. Most recently, Kristin served as the Director of Prevention & Human Services for the Town of Ashland, Massachusetts. Kristin is passionate about prevention and uses her social work foundation to reduce barriers and ensure that programs authentically reflect the needs of the communities they serve.
